Kenneth Balatgek, D.D.S.
Dr. Kenneth Balatgek is a native of Sinking Spring, PA. After working as an electrician, he joined
the United States Air Force. While assigned as a dental lab technician, Dr. Ken decided to pursue a
career as a dentist. After attending California State University, Sacramento for his undergraduate
coursework, Dr. Balatgek graduated from the Ohio State University School of Dentistry with honors in 1997.
Ken is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association and the Berks County Dental Society. He enjoys golf, woodworking, skiing, family life and rooting on the Ohio State Buckeyes!
Randy Kim, D.D.S.
Dr. Randy Kim is a native of Lancaster, PA. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with
a dual degree in Neuroscience and Business. Dr. Kim then went on to receive his dental degree at New York
University College of Dentistry. A one-year dental residency was then completed at St. Joseph's Regional
Medical Center in Paterson, NJ.
Dr. Randy enjoys golfing, skiing, dining out and spending time with friends and family. He is also a big Chicago Bears fan - please don't hold it against him!
Ronald Reiter, D.M.D.
Dr. Ronald Reiter is a 1978 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After
13 years of practicing dentistry, Dr. Reiter attended and completed a medical residency in Anesthesiology
at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1992.
Dr. Reiter continues to aggressively participate in continuing education and has completed several certifications in the area of Emergency Medical Services. He is a part-time Faculty Assistant at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center, School of Health Sciences. He is also an American Heart Association Instructor for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Dr. Reiter is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Berks County Dental Society. He is also a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
Tammy Balatgek, D.D.S., DABDSM, FAACP, DAAPM
Dr. Tammy Balatgek was raised on a farm in Mertztown, PA. She spent two years at the United States Air
Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO and continued her education at Ohio University, in Athens, Ohio.
To support her educational goals, Tammy was employed in an orthodontic office and became interested in a
dental career. She received her D.D.S. degree from the Ohio State University, where she was an active
member of the Alpha Omega Fraternity and Student Government.
Tammy is currently a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, International Association of Orthodontics, the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and the American Academy of Pain Management.
Tammy has earned Diplomate Status from the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, Fellowship status from the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and Diplomate Status in the American Academy of Pain Management.
In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with their two daughters, Leigh and Kate. The Balatgeks reside in Sinking Spring, PA.
Kim, Clinical Supervisor
Kim is our Clinical Supervisor. She holds her PA x-ray certification and has many years of experience as an
orthodontic assistant. She is also certified in Invisalign Technology. Kim has earned her Expanded Functions
Dental Assistant certificate from Berks Career and Technology Center (She is responsible for placing, contouring
and finishing amalgam and composite restorations.). Kim is originally from Douglassville and now resides in
Sinking Spring. She has one daughter, Brianna. In her spare time, Kim likes to do crafts, counted cross stitch,
collect Longaberger baskets, and spend time with her family.
Elizabeth, Financial Coordinator
Elizabeth is our Financial Coordinator. She is originally from Pottsville, PA. Elizabeth attended LaReine High
School in Suitland, Maryland and also attended Prince George's Community College in Largo, MD. Her hobbies include
cooking, baking, rubber-stamping, and attending music concerts. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband,
Christopher, and their daughter, Cassidy Ann and son, John. They also have a cat named Angel.
Lori, New Patient Coordinator
Lori is a New Patient Coordinator for our Practice. She graduated from Wilson and studied Cosmetology at Berks
Vo-Tech. Lori has two daughters, Brooke and Kayla. In her spare time she enjoys volleyball and scrap booking.
Dan, Treatment Coordinator
Dan is a Treatment Coordinator. He attended Muhlenberg High School and was a member of the United States Army,
4th Artillery Division. Dan has completed several continuing education seminars, including topics of: Periodontal
Disease, Lumineers, Orthodontics, and Implants. Dan is a retired professional wrestler, aka "Doomsday Danny Rose"
who now spends the majority of his free time with his wife Kristin, his twins Owen and Chase, and his cat named Mr.
Pickles.
Jess, Scheduling Coordinator
Jess is our Scheduling Coordinator. Jess graduated from Exeter High School and the Berks Career and Technology
Center for dental assisting. She is engaged to Shawn and has two wonderful daughters - Bella and Sydney. In
her spare time, Jess enjoys skiing, swimming, dancing and travel with friends and family.
Liz, Registered Dental Hygienist
Liz is a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist. She grew up in Tamaqua, PA and earned her hygiene degree at
Northampton Community College. Liz currently lives in Sinking Spring. Liz enjoys spending time with her
boyfriend and her 2 dogs, Alvin and Steel. She also enjoys shopping, skiing, going to the beach, and spending time
with friends.
Eileen, Clinical Dental Assistant
Eileen is a Clinical Dental Assistant certified in dental radiology. She specializes in Dental Hygiene Services.
Eileen is a graduate from Governor Mifflin High School and Reading Area Community College. Eileen has three sons
and two grandchildren, Tanner and Taylor. She enjoys riding her motorcycle, creating slained glass and playing
the piano. Entertaining people is a joy to her!
Sheena, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Sheena has recently completed her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certificate from Harcum College and is CPR
and PA X-ray certified. (She is responsible for placing, contouring and finishing amalgam and composite restorations.)
In her spare time, Sheena enjoys the outdoors, boating, hiking, swimming, and spending
time with her family.
Jamie, Clinical Dental Assistant
Jamie is a Clinical Dental Assistant. She is CPR and x-ray certified in the state of Pennsylvania. Jamie is
married to Jordan and they have 4 children, Brody, Bailee, Jayven and Taylor. Jamie attended Conrad Weiser High
School and currently lives in Womelsdorf. In her spare time she enjoys sharing time with her family, hiking,
dancing, shopping, and visiting with friends.
Melissa, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Melissa is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and earned her certificate from Harcum College. An expanded
functions dental assistant is qualified to assist the doctor with placement and polishing of fillings. She is
also certified in CPR and X-ray certified in the state of Pennsylvania. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys
spending time with her husband, two children, and two dogs, as well as painting, gardening, crafts, music.
She is also a Philadelphia Phillies fan!
Bonnie, Clinical Dental Assistant
Bonnie is a Clinical Dental Assistant. She has earned her PA State X-ray Certification and is also an Expanded
Functions Duty Assistant. She also keeps current with the OSHA rules and regulations and her CPR Certification.
Bonnie is married to Bill and they enjoy their two kittens. In her spare time, Bonnie loves gardening,
cross-stitching, crafts, and reading.
Taneshia, Registered Dental Hygienist
Taneshia is a full-time Registered Dental Hygienist. She grew up in Reading and earned her degree at Northampton
Community College. Taneshia is happily married and the mother of four busy, athletic children. She lives in
Robesonia and enjoys reading and movie and game nights with her family.
Jen, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Jen is an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and earned her certificate from Harcum College. An expanded
functions dental assistant is qualified to assist the doctor with placement and polishing of fillings. Jen
is also certified in CPR and X-ray certified in the state of Pennsylvania. Jen and her husband live in Richland
with their dog and three cats. In her spare time, Jen enjoys volunteering at the Humane Society, Snowboarding
and Basket Bingo.
